Welcome to our Walking Group website which will tell you a little about who we are and what we do. Please send an email with any queries or just come along to one of our walks and meet us.
I am grateful to all who have contributed to this site in any way. Please help to keep this
site useful and up to date with your photos, comments and suggestions.
We started in 2009 following an initiative from the Rev. Scott Peddie. However the group has no ties to any Church, although the Old Presbyterian Church ("behind the wall") is most generous in the use of their hall if needed.
Our walk leaders are all suitably qualified and the membership comes mainly from around the village of Templepatrick
We walk for pleasure and fellowship, not for breaking records.
The majority of our walks are in the vicinity of Templepatrick are usually take between an hour or an hour and a half to complete, at a pace where we can talk to each other.
The walks are on paths which are good underfoot and reasonably level. You would be informed if any walk was going to vary from this. Walking shoes or trainers are quite suitable and although we have been very lucky with the weather waterproofs would be useful.
We walk on Tuesday mornings. The programme for this Winter is available so come and join us.
The Winter programme of walks for Tuesday mornings has now been finalised.
