We meet in The Old Presbyterian Car Park to share cars or the National Trust Car Park at the start of the walk.
From the Car Park the route is at first along a tarmac road before cutting
across a peat bog to the trig. point on Black Mountain. This path is made easy by the a wooden pathway laid across
the bog. After admiring the views we either return the way we came or lengthen the walk by following the ridge walk, marked in blue on the map.
Both routes pass the Gamekeeper's Cottage where there is coffee and toilets before returning home.
The path, recently constructed, is good and the cows and horses not too bad.
