We meet in the Loughshore Park at Jordanstown.
Our route follows the shore path for a few hundred yards before crossing the road to the Glenavna development.
Here we join a section of the Newtownabbey Way. This is a wide tarmaced path which after a short distance goes under the Viaducts that give the walk its name. Slowly climbing up hill through woodland it reaches Monkstown(Village Centre).
Here we turn and return downhill the way we came. A detour when we reach the Shore Road allows for coffee and scones.
The path is very good all the way
